Data Processing
Section titled “Data Processing”Farsight Processing is available as a stand-alone application. This component is being used to expand your source data to individual files and extracting metadata. After completion the resulting load file exports are then ready to be imported into the Farsight platform.

Data Loading
Section titled “Data Loading”Have your data already processed or received data in legal export format from another source? Farsight eDiscovery Bridge is the standalone application to import this type of data into the Farsight Platform.
Platform Management
Section titled “Platform Management”Visit the sections listed under branch Platform Reference to learn more about the Farsight Platform.
- Users, Groups and Roles are the building blocks for permission management.
- Check out the Workspace Overview to learn more about Workspaces in general.
- Archives are an easy way to snapshot, export and import entire Workspaces. The archives can also be used to copy Workspaces between different Farsight instances.
Workspace Management
Section titled “Workspace Management”Visit the sections under the Workspaces branch for detailed instructions on Workspace Management.
Core Components
Section titled “Core Components”- Object Definitions are the focal point in Workspaces. They assemble all other object based data models by using Fields of different types. Some Field types make use of Choices.
- Layouts, Views and Saved Queries all deal with information stored in Fields across different Object Definitions.
- Search Indices enable term based searching and can be queried by Views or Saved Queries.
- Access Control Planes control the permissions across all previously mentioned Workspace elements.
eDiscovery Extension
Section titled “eDiscovery Extension”- Documents are the central elements of the eDiscovery Extension .
- Batch Sets are helpful to create smaller work Batches of Documents to distribute work among reviewers.
- Markup Sets are distinct layers of Highlights and Redactions placed on the Documents.
- Search Term Reports consist of terms and the corresponding findings are recorded by linking Search Term Results to Documents.
- Production Groups define the agreed settings for disclosure and Productions are distinct Document sets channeled through the disclosure process.
